How we provide our free credit score service is changing.

While our website and app are closing, we'll continue to provide free access to your Experian credit score.

How we provide your free credit score is changing

Over the past few years, we’ve noticed a shift in how people are choosing to check their credit scores with us. Fewer are logging into our app and website, while the majority are now accessing their score via the CommBank app – thanks to a free service powered by Credit Savvy.

As a result, from Wednesday 14 May 2025, you will no longer be able to access your credit score via the Credit Savvy app and website, but we’ll continue to provide free access to your Experian credit score via the CommBank app.

Not a CommBank customer?

No problem. You can download the CommBank app and access your Experian credit score for free without needing to hold a CommBank financial product.

Head to our FAQ page for more information about accessing your free credit score via the CommBank app.

Existing credit file bans placed using our SavvyShield feature will remain active until they are due to expire. All members with an active credit file ban will receive an email from us with more information.

As one of the first free credit score services in the country, we’re proud to have led the way in helping more than one million people to access, understand and protect their credit rating, and hope we can continue to make a meaningful contribution to your financial wellbeing.

Thanks for being a Credit Savvy member.

As someone that never really understood Credit Scores or how the score gets impacted, Credit Savvy laid it out nice and simple. I understand that they don't manage the score and is more of a dashboard/ information system but dealing with the staff they always handle your information with the highest of standards especially in these wild times. Huge thanks to the savvy team and can't recommend them enough.

Peace of mind is so important - I put a stop on credit savvy website as I had an incident that I thought was suspect. I contacted Credit Savvy and with great speed a block was put on my credit file. It was a tremendous relief to know that nobody can take out a loan in my name.

Needed to improve my financial situation. Credit Savvy was so helpful in doing that. I received regular updates on my score via email & visually saw my score go from low to very high. I was then able to purchase an apartment. It now keeps me on track to stay in very high. I’m notified when anything affects my score, good or bad. Also easy to navigate site. Highly recommend.
